MOPS Craft: Glass Bead Pumpkins

Hello Everyone!

I am trying to plan the crafts we're going to be doing for our MOPS group (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers). This past week, we did something seasonal. We did glass bead pumpkins!

Supplies:

Small Pumpkin (70 cents)
Glass Beads ($2.00 at Hobby Lobby)
Optional: Epson Salts (This will have a white glitter finish $1.00)
DIY Mod Podge (Equal parts water and white Elmer's Glue)

Total: Around $3.00

Directions (they are very simple!):

1. Apply Mod Podge to Pumpkin. Don't be shy.

2. Apply Beads. I tried to just sprinkle it on the top. It's better to push it on and try to pack it.

3. Add another layer of Mod Podge and beads.

4. Let it dry for a couple of day!

Ta-Da! Fun sparkly pumpkins. You may want to use a drill or apple corer to scoop out the center and turn the pumpkin into a tea light holder.

If you want to do fun crafts with us, the Boone MOPS group meets every first and third Monday at the Cornerstone Church from 6:30 to 8:30...Childcare if provided!
