I created this blog, The Dabbling Crafter, as a way to enter into the craft blogging world. I rarely can keep myself busy with just one genre of crafts; I usually have to venture to all different types to keep myself from getting bored. Hence the title, "The Dabbling Crafter."
Mostly, I enjoy crafts that are either for my home decor, my child or involve my sewing machine (or both). I do try new things when I run across them. I find most of my ideas from One Pretty Thing and Pinterest, but that's not the only blog I frequent. I try to keep my downtime filled with either working or finding new projects. It keeps me from getting the bored blues.
I have recently decided to sell some crafts and as a result started "Lila Jean Modern Baby Crafts." This is an Etsy shop that specializes in baby accessories with both modern fabric and modern design. You won't see any cartoon characters there! I currently sell onesies, reversible bibs, wipe cases, diaper clutches, reversible car seat strap covers, nursery art, and baby leggings. I'm experimenting with other baby crafts and they may soon join my shop. I also take custom orders. My fabric choices are available on my Facebook page.
I also have started a new venture called "Crafty Parties and Workshops" where I can come and provide supplies and instruction for a party or get together on a craft of your chosing. Feel free to contact me for more information!
As a profession, I'm an attorney. I recently moved in order for my husband to start a vet med program. I am the mother to a beautiful baby girl. She takes up a majority of my time and I'm happy that she does so. Being a mother is one of the most challenging wonderful experiences of my life.
